He crawls!

Eight months and four days old and the little one crawls!  Monday was the big day for take-off.  He almost literally went from 0-60, Sunday not able to crawl an inch and Monday crawling all the way across this kitchen floor.  Of course, to the dog's water bowl.  Of course.

And he might have gotten a hand in there if Mommy didn't already know what was going on.  What Jack doesn't know is that there are two before him that have paved the way!

Of course crawling means I have to keep my floors cleaner (because sweeping twice a day wasn't already enough...).. It also means I can't put him down and walk away to do something in another room... Because he comes to find me.

"there you are woman, i've found you, now pick me up!"

He's also already had some smooshed little fingers from a big brother who doesn't realize that his life is about to change too.  It was an accident, but both parties wound up crying!  

Other than that one incident, he has been so happy today, and so proud of his new ability to navigate!  Every time I'd look at him in a new place, he'd grin at me and throw his arms up and down, so proud!
